Winter season information

The autumn season of futsal is starting at Ballarat Futsal Centre on the week of the 22nd of April. Final week of the season is from the 9th of September. This is a year round competition- the following season commences the week of the 7th of October 2019.

Team and player registration due by Monday 11th of March 2019. Please note, teams will be accepted in order of registration.

  • All players must wear shin guards. These and other indoor sports equipment will be available to purchase from the club at the start of the indoor season for any player wishing to do so.
  • Shirts must have player's numbers.
  • In the spirit of good sportsmanship, all teams must participate in a compulsory handshake at the end of each game.
  • Any damage done to the venues outside of the games are the responsibility of the parents. Parents will be provided with an invoice.
  • If a child is injured during the game, the night manager and referee must be notified.
  • If a supporter is verbally yelling out to a referee or a player, the game is stopped and a goal will be added to the other team.
  • Youth, u16 and u14 must have a supervising adult at every game.

How to register:

The first step is to register your team online.
To do so, follow the steps below and choose TEAM. Once your players are registered, email Sarah at victoria@australianfutsal.com with a list of your player names so that they can be assigned to your team. Just ask them to register following the steps below, or on the information sheet

 All players MUST register and pay online by Monday 11th March 2019

Registration covers memberships and insurance. Games fees are also paid at the same time.
Please note that you only have to pay registration once between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019 and are then entitled to play at any Australian Futsal club across Australia. Registration also allows you to play in any of the AFA tournaments throughout the season. Registration is valid until August 31st, 2019.
If you have not registered before, Please select New Player. Remember your email and password for future reference.

Then select the correct age group.

Always use the email that you originally used to register you or your child. If your email has changed, contact Andrea, andrea@australianfutsal.com to update it.

Competition Age Groups:

The following age limits must be strictly adhered to:

Monday - starting at 6:30pm - Open men

Tuesday - starting at 4:30pm - u10s - 2011/2010/2009 -

Wednesday - starting at 4:30pm - u6s - 2014/2013 -

Saturday - starting at 9:00am - Grade preps, ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes

Training Programs
Ballarat Academy/Futsal school - Monday - from 4:15pm
Little Feet -Monday 3:45- 4:30

Costs and age groups:
$60 per person for registration and insurance for all participants including training groups. (Covers players until 1st of September 2019). If you have paid your summer registration you do not need to pay the $60 again for the Winter Season.

Game Fees
$60 per team, per week
Tuesday 10s/12s $190 (19 weeks)
Wednesday 6s/8s $190 (19 weeks)
Fridays 14s $180 and 16s/Youth $190 (18 weeks)
Saturday $180 (18 weeks)

Payment for Grand Final is separate to upfront games fees and must be paid on the Monday prior to the game.

If you have NOT PAID in FULL by the 1st week of the competition, the cost will go up $10 a week there after.
PLEASE NOTE: No player is permitted to go on court until they are fully paid.


  • Team Entry- The team manager must enter the team online and then email Sarah with a list of players.
  • Fill in players- A team may use a fill in player as long as the night manager has been informed well before the game. The team must be down to 4 players and only one player can be added. The cannot play in a game below their age group. If a player is substituted from withing the same division (age group if there is one group only), points will be awarded to the other team. If your team is in the top four in the last three weeks, no players can be substituted. You can bring an unregistered players for one night only, however they must be aware they are not insured.
  • Individual Entry- Those without a ready-made team can still apply as an individual entry. Please email Sarah at victoria@australianfutsal.com with the child's details and they will be placed on a waiting list. We will endeavor to slot in individual entries into a team if available.
  • Birth Certificate- Must be provided by each player on signing up to join competition. Birth certificate is NOT required when signing on for further Australian Futsal Competition.
  • Players & Parents Code of Behaviour- All players must sign online before commencing in competition.
  • Fixture and Rules of Competition- The first two weeks times will be issued prior to competition. The season fixture will be released in week 3. There will be NO negotiation entered into with regard to fixture times.
  • Grading for Divisions- Grading will be conducted for the first 2 weeks of the competition where appropriate. Following that, the complete fixture will be issued.
  • Team Managers- All teams must have a team manager as a central point for communication.
  • Team Numbers- All teams must have a minimum of 6 players per team
  • Each season divisions MAY have byes depending on team numbers. There are NO refunds for byes.
