BALLARAT FC ACADEMY
Have you ever watched the Brazilians, Spanish, Portuguese play football and wondered…. What’s the secret? Well from a young age, they are encouraged to exhibit -creativity, speed, running of the ball, ‘deadly finishing’ and dribbling skills.
The Ballarat FC Academy offers this opportunity!!!
As a sport, Futsal has for years been treated as a training game for football. Now with Futsal being treated as a proper sport with World Cups and regular tournaments and with professional leagues through out the world, more people are wishing to play it seriously. Within Victoria players involved in the academy will see an exceptional improvement to not only their Futsal but their football also due to specific skills training at the highest level.
The Head Coach of the Ballarat FC Academy is Corey Smith, who recently returned from the UK where he was the head coach for Middlesbrough Futsal Club's Academy and played in the first team, Corey has been involved in Futsal for years and was also part of the men's national team in 2011 which toured France and Switzerland, he has also studied in Brazil, Spain and other countries to mould his training methods.
